My Sister’s Closet Network (MSCN) sponsored a fundraising event on Saturday, December 12, 2009 to kick-off the My Sister’s Kids program component of the organization. MSCN in conjunction with ICE Theaters hosted a Royal Ball featuring Disney’s upcoming movie, “The Princess and The Frog”.
The My Sister’s Kids program objective is to motivate and empower students (K-12) to succeed through education.
In keeping with the mission of the organization and the objective of this program, The Royal Ball event objectives were but not limited to the following:
1. Cultural Enrichment 2. Entrepreneurship 3. Community Service 4. Essay Writing 5. Goal Setting
The event was an overwhelming success for the adults and kids alike. With two sold-out theaters and a host of activities, our royal guests enjoyed music from a live 4-piece jazz band and New Orleans style cuisine. There were numerous items raffled and a silent auction of fabulous gifts donated by our supporters and sponsors.
